How I Met My Love [via OKCupid]

It had almost been a year since I became single, and I wondered what it would be like to use an online match website. This was in mid July, 2012. I wasn't really sure how it would turn out, and I didn't know where to start. My first thought was "Plenty Of Fish." So that is where I started.

I met some interesting people. But the problem was the men who were interesting to talk to were too old for my dating preferences and the people in my preferred range were illiterate and infinitely uninteresting to converse with... and just not my type in general. My overall experience with PoF was that it creeped me out and yielded nothing for me. I then remembered another site that had worked out well for people I knew. So I made my account on OKCupid around a week after I started my PoF account. I finished up some conversations on PoF and said my goodbyes, then deleted my account.

The first day on OKCupid was better than my entire PoF experience. The profiles were better in general, people were more attractive (and more my age) and the matching system was more intricate and made sense to me. I sent out a lot of conversation starters, didn't get a whole lot of responses that showed actual interest in talking, and I got a lot of lame messages that I generally ignored.
On that same day, though, I came across a profile of a man who became my favorite. So I sent out my message, hoping that he would reply and actually seem happy to talk to me.
The pluses on first impression were that he was physically attractive, he was a Scorpio, he was just a little bit older than me (19, now 20), and we had similar basic interests, such as The Legend of Zelda.
I did get my desired response, and we immediately hit it off. Some might say it went too fast, but everything was working out so smoothly and perfectly. It was the 18th of July that we began talking. A few days into our 'flirtation-ship' we were already pretty close and he was calling me "lover."

We thought the same way about almost everything, and we began answering as many questions as we could in the match system, so that we could get an even more accurate match percentage, just to see how it would come out.
Behold, our glorious match percentage: 99.8% As well as our enemy percentage: 2%

Mid August. We're so fashionable!
6 Months Together (Jan 25)
One week after we began talking, we met up. July the 25th. This date has been chosen as the official relationship start date. It was also the first day we kissed, initiated by myself. ♥ Perhaps also a little hasty for some people, but again, everything was so right.

He lived in the SF Valley (CA), an approx. 2 hour bus ride from me, in West Los Angeles. We are now living together in Washington State. The current location is temporary, and soon enough we will be able to live in our own home, both with jobs, and the freedom to live our own lifestyle. :)

Ordering A Pair Of Creepers!

For Christmas my older brother sent me a $75 Amazon gift card. I kind of knew what I wanted to get with it, but I wanted to wait on it (as I do with a good portion of my online purchases) to make sure I didn't come up with something I wanted more. So now it is the beginning of February and I've finally made my purchase.

Finally I will be getting my first pair of Creepers shoes. I've been wanting a pair for a while now and I've never gotten around to actually seeking them out. I'm not sure why I was drawn to the leopard print, but I was. I liked these ones better than most other creepers I saw.

In my size (Male 7): List Price: $84.95. Sale: $64.95
Shipping Estimate: Monday February 4, 2013 - Tuesday February 5, 2013
Delivery Estimate: Thursday February 7, 2013 - Tuesday February 12, 2013
Free shipping with my Amazon Prime account. :)

Now it is time to start adding a few leopard print items to my clothing... And I already have a few of my favorites on Amazon wish-listed.

The item I chose to use up the rest of my gift card on isn't leopard print... but the price fit perfectly for using it up! It is a long shirt (also long sleeved) with a skull and stars design in one of my new favorite brands/stores: Allegra K.

Normally I am a little put off by item profiles such as this one, including the part where there is only one low quality image of the product, but the reviews were encouraging enough. We'll see how it turns out. I am expecting (as warned in a review) the skull to be a lot grayer than white, as pictured. And that is okay with me.

Price: $9.98
Shipping Estimate: Monday February 4, 2013 - Tuesday February 5, 2013
Delivery Estimate: Thursday February 28, 2013 - Monday March 18, 2013

Both orders placed Saturday February 2, 2013. :)

Adventures Yet To Come!

This blog will basically be a journal/adventure log for me. I'm turning 19 in the next month and a half and I am starting to get out on my own with my love, and my cat. We're making do with what we have at the moment, and things will be getting better from here!
Here are a few things that you can expect from this blog in the future:

  • Photography (I own a Nikon D3100) and pictures with any other posts
  • Personal anecdotes and thoughts on things
  • Awesome things that happen to me
  • Fashion things I buy/wear (I own Lolita and I love to create outfits)
  • Pet related adventures
  • Relationship related adventures
  • Job/home related adventures
  • Reviews on products I post about buying/using

I have a few posts planned already, but I of course don't want to spring them all out at once. I will work on a few at a time, but not publish more than one post in a day. Blogging on this website will actually be less frequent than daily most of the time! I use Tumblr for getting out a lot of effortless rambles and posts. :)
